Burst

You caused an unexpected explosion in my heart,

Ripped open the part I thought had died,

While others were slow, cautious and treated me with care,

You came in and made your intentions clear

Flooded with feelings I never expected

Emotions I thought I was no longer capable of experiencing,

Smilling to myself at the thought of you,

Constantly consumed with things to tell you,

Wondering if I’m coming on too strong, too soon,

I have never navigated a path like this,

But, I am jumping in with both feet, because I know you’ll catch me
