I delay stepping into the shower, all because I don’t want to wash you off of my skin,
Your lingering smell, light touches and soft kisses,
The bite mark on my neck and the trace of your fingers around my collarbone,
As the water runs down my back,
I think of your fingers that only just followed themselves along my spine,
The drops of your sweat now spiralling down the drain,
I think of it all,
I avoid the water, in order to stay closer to every scent of you,
Your tangled feet around mine,
Your soft, urgent voice in my ear,
Your rushed breath on my lips,
I avoid water because I don’t want to remove any trace of you anywhere on my skin,
I wonder, do you do it too?
