Fissures

The type of crack that goes undetected,
But can still cause harm
Thin,
Understated and silent,
Lies under the surface for lengths of time unknown,
Then on its own timing,
It will push to the front,
Damaging everything in its path,
Shattering its surroundings,
Slithering away,
As it watches you crumble into pieces as it goes on to its next victim,
