I’ve patiently and silently waited for you,

I thought of all the things you could say,

Wondering what excuses or reasons you would offer,

Festering in my loneliness,

Shedding tears for someone who pretended to care,
All these months,
Fixing and patching up my heart from the damage you caused,
All these months,
Then you send an insignificant sorry,
All these months,
As if those five simple words could ever make up for the damage,
All these months,
Spent trusting you,
All these months,
Sharing parts of me, I had hidden away,
All these months,
Making me feel love again,
All these months,
And you chose fear,
